Position Overview

Under direct supervision, provides physical support with personal care services to individuals on an assigned shift; conducts individual and group programs; verifies individual safety and protection through monitoring and supervision; teaches and directs individuals in the maintenance of a clean, safe and secure environment. Serves in an advanced worker capacity providing assistance to lower level staff on complex problems.

Job Responsibilities

25% 1. Provides physical support with personal care services to individuals on an assigned shift.

25% 2. Conducts individual and group programs.

20% 3. Verifies individual safety and protection through monitoring and supervision.

15% 4. Teaches and directs individuals in the maintenance of a clean, safe, and secure environment.

10% 5. Attends and completes scheduled training ns by Department of Human Services (DHS), the center and the programmatic unit.

5% 6. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
  2. Requires successful completion of an approved training program and one year experience in, or applicable to the care, treatment, and development of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires skill and ability to apply advanced or specialized procedures and techniques relative to the provisions of personal and nursing care services, treatment, development, and habilitation of individuals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
